no, i'm not dead. just lacking inspiration.

'bout high time i did some fanart for my she-elves. i think the background gave me more stress than the girls though.

this would be Tári (brunette), Idril (blonde), and Linwë (black) - which is pronounced Tahree (the 'a' is long), Ihdrihl, and Lihnweh - who are handmaidens for Arwen, and eventually become Aspen's companions.

Tári is a hairdresser, while Idril is a make-up artist and Linwë is a wardrobe stylist. i think these three are the giddiest characters in my entire fanfic. always perky, hyper, and like a group of fangirls...only they're not crazy fangirls i think i like how Idril came out the most in this ; ;

as for the progress on this; the backround? i failed miserably at trying to do decent details on it. i tried using photo reference after photo reference of Rivendell until i just gave up and used only one picture off to the side, and i just drew a whole bunch of blobs with the brush tool, added shading to it, and then used the 'ink outline' filter on it to make it look at least halfway decent. i'm surprised how sharp it came out despite the fact that it was all line-less dots and colors. i found that if i tried inking all those leaves...it would have been a disaster.

as for Tári's hairstyle, i kinda wrestled with hers. i was going to have her be the one with curls, until i found them to be more suitable for Idril, and then i thought "hrmm...nah...want braids...LOTSA braids..." so here she is.

god. i'm taking one hell of a break from backgrounds. they piss me off.

PLEASE NO HEAVY COMMENTS. THIS DAMN THING TOOK ME TWO DAYS TO FINISH AND I REALLY DON'T CARE HOW IT TURNED OUT >_O;;
