this would be my tribute to the next StarCraft expansion, rendering this year the Year of the Swarm. while i really wanted to try and draw Infested Kerrigan, that would have most likely killed me due to the details, and i felt obligated to choose regular human Kerrigan instead, with her becoming de-infested.

i tried out a new painting style with this, as it turns out the method i worked with made it much easier to draw, which was probably another one of the reasons i was able to even finish this.

and i can't tell you how proud i am of myself for a change. art has been a really big problem lately, my inspiration and motivation has fluctuated a lot and it's really frustrated me. however, my muse seemed to return from his vacation and literally punched me in the face, giving me all the motivation i needed to get this done. while this is far from being any kind of masterpiece, i still like how it came out for taking 6 hours to draw.

i could go on but i'm tired and i'm afraid i'd sound too self-absorbed over this, so i'll leave it at that.

I think Kerrigan may be one of my most favorite Blizzard characters. She and her story are just so... Unique.

Stunning use of colors dear!
Adore the mixture of emotions on her face and the background certainly reflects that very well.
Lovely shading as well and in all just a gorgeous looking piece.
